Today, I’d like to take a quick break from posting Catholic Problems to bring you…
The ROSARY CHALLENGE
As a beautiful, tight-knit, prayerful community of tumblr Catholics, I challenge each and every one of you to say one Rosary a day for seven days straight. If you already say a daily Rosary (because you’re awesome like that), perhaps add a little something extra like a Divine Mercy Chaplet, whatever feels right. Let’s do this fromJune 21, 2012 to June 27, 2012.
Reblog (or don’t) if you’re in, and I encourage you to sort of document this process on your blogs, using the tag “The Rosary Challenge” to inspire fellow tumblr Catholics to take up the challenge.
Why am I issuing this challenge? Because, if you are anything like me, you may not spend enough time praying the beautiful and most Holy Rosary. Honestly, I want to see the wonderful ways in which it improves our lives. Plus, extra time in prayer and more devotion to Our Mother are beautiful things.
I was inspired to issue this challenge after reading this quote by St. Louis Marie de Montfort:
“If you say the Rosary faithfully until death, I do assure you that, in spite of the gravity of your sins “you shall receive a never-fading crown of glory.” Even if you are on the brink of damnation, even if you have one foot in hell, even if you have sold your soul to the devil as sorcerers do who practice black magic, and even if you are a heretic as obstinate as a devil, sooner or later you will be converted and will amend your life and save your soul, if - and mark well what I say - if you say the Rosary devoutly every day until death for the purpose of knowing the truth and obtaining contrition and pardon for your sins.”
